Was it I don't remember seeing it - or was your reply a bit tongue in cheek.alanrmc wrote:Because it was part of the New Agreement that People voted for!fed_up_postie wrote: why do we have to have a one to one
On the issue itself - No we have not been told this - it sounds like your DOM is doing it unilaterally or it might be an area thing. Anyway why we do we need it we the the HYS surveys. Anyway MHO is that one to one meeting about this sort of matter is far to open to abuse from both sides so I think it would be a non starter anyway.

Another pointless exercise which wastes our time and the DOM's time. I'm not against these things but the problem is that as with 'Have Your Say' anything you add which you feel may improve your office or any negative responses are largely ignored. These initiatives are thought up by people we never see and are forced upon the DOM's who unfortunately are forced to go through the process of which the responses hold no interest to them therefore making the whole process a sham. If the DOM's had the ability to use there own initiative and come up with these ideas themselves then Royal Mail might be a better place to work but at the moment they care about us as much as we care about them, and coming up with these hair brained schemes isn't going to fix that.
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite.

They will most likely misrepresent what is said to them and then announce that everyone is happy with all the changes that are coming in.fed_up_postie wrote:We had our WTL on monday and was told we are to have a one to one session with the dum to say how we feel about the work place, how we feel about our collegues, our dum and any ideas we have about improving the work place and any thing else we want to talk about, has anyone else been told this and why do we have to have a one to one when we have a WTL session to say these things! just another silly idea from :lfo :cfo ive already said im not having a one to one with my dumbut he said i have no choice its happening around the whole country

I know mad aint it. They pay Professor Ian Wilmut, of the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh millions to create Dolly, all he had to do was ask AL and AC how to do it.axeman wrote:are any capable of doing this ? most have not enough grey matter

I think that's Leighton's Walmart "Open Door " anti-union policy idea , and all this corporate nonsense, we are in it together , about being valued and listened to . Very Blue Sky from Old St , very half baked and harebrained .saru wrote:I wonder how much they paid someone to come up with this idiotic idea.
No word of it yet in our office, but we're short staffed at the moment with people using up annual leave & sickness on top!
It would be abused , the DUM's will need feeding with tittle tattle about staff, or it'd turn into a propaganda brainwashing session. Seen this happen in another industry , we'd to get a motion passed to get rid of a confrontational bullying space cadet .There was plenty of these p*** poor managers due to a p*** poor recruitment & selection policy.

Just tell them that you do not feel comfy doing a 1 2 1 wtl with a manager, and that if they want to do one then (get some people together) tell them you only feel comfy if the a few of you their. I dont think they can get you todo a 1 2 1 wtl if you don't feel comfy with it. Saying that I could totally be wrong.
