Let's nail this down...

Do the DIMs want you to prioritise lapsing because...

A) Its on a different budget or something? (Is it?)

B) it looks good on paper? After some creative book-keeping that is

C) they hope your loyalty to your own walk/ prospect of huge own walk tomorrow will get you to deliver more?

Feel free to add options or answers.
Definitely C.

We're really feeling the pressure in our office more than ever. For some it's almost a sense of PTSD coming on. Some of us have been advised to take out the collapsed loops even if it means leaving a few loops of our own regular walks. Weird logic, I reckon.

It's from a great movie called Office Space (1999). Over the years it's reached a cult following, and there are countless memes that use some of the movie's images. :angel

I had an Office Space moment last week. Apparently, I accidentally scanned a Local Collect as "delivered to customer" when dropping it off at the Post Office. The following day, within half an hour, THREE managers and a workplace coach approached me independently of one another and asked if I knew how to deal with Local Collects. On each occasion I responded "Yes, I do, I must have just made a mistake, it won't happen again" and, on each occasion, this prompted a condescending explanation of how to identify a Local Collect and how to scan it correctly on the PDA.

All I heard was "You apparently didn't put one of the new cover sheets on your TPS reports...".

One manager made me laugh out loud when he said "Obviously we need to come up with a strategy to manage this situation going forward to ensure that it doesn't happen again".

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Very Good Postman :left:

How long before we see a Bruno Ganz Hitler Sketch of Royal Mail's Operation? I think the Hitler roll would be well suited to many DOMs. I can see him banging the Table saying, "I expect EVERYONE to take their Lapsing ... No Excuses"! :left: I expect you've seen the BFT sketch ... VERY Funny. :cuppa

Very Amusing, it cheered me up at the end of another shitty day! :left:

I particularly liked the "Step out of the room if you've never done a delivery" section! :thumbup TBH we haven't had to Lapse since they re-jigged the office during the TTR .... Nobody's got any spare time to do it. Bummer. :cuppa
