every office is different regarding holidays in ours there are eight groups of seven posties starts with senior postie(2weeks) first and goes down the group when it gets to the bottom that person signs for (3weeks) and it goes up and down till all annual leave is taken then starts at the bottom the following year. manager likes all groups to be down for xmas or he said he would allocate them but it never is and he never allocates them our holiday sheet he"ll no tell us when to take OUR holidays.

The argument they used to get this flexibility agreement in was so you could take holiday when you want within reason, but yet still they continually show that flexibility will only apply when business needs dictate and, apparently, sod the staff.

Why, oh why, did that deal get accepted. :pray

Have you also noticed they call it leave entitlement, but your not entitled to it when you want it.

Think our office is 6 full and 6 part time staff in any 1 week. Total 12 per week. And its done on a first come, first serve basis. Waht REALLY gets me is that we had to book our ALL our hols back in April 07 for the year 08/09! A complete year ahead .
