Revision duty patterns ?

Post by worktotime »

hi can anybody give me a bit of advice if what we have been told by cwu rep , that all duty patterns have now been removed due to issues in other offices , and now all offices will be working a 1 in 4 ? , so we will not be given any our choices to vote on so is this a national change ? thanks.

Not at our place, unless they just haven't told us yet, we're on the std 1in6.

We lost 1 in 4 and forced to go to 1 in 6 in what was a fixed vote.

Promised a certain amount of part time duties go to full time if 1 in 6 was voted in.
Guess what?- the number of people made up to full time was less than what we voted on.
Ergo, it was fixed.

so basically the agreement is a massive let down to members about the all singing and dancing promises of all the wonderful patterns, 4 day a week etc , so because none of them fit into the companys savings plan they have all been squashed then ? and what is the cwu going to do about it for the members ? as yet again the company have ignored the agreement and im guessing the cwu will do nothing :evil/mad .

Dispute Resolution Processes:

Disagreements that start at Local Level

The basic structure for resolving local disputes is still based on the IR Framework but it has been streamlined.

Stage 1

The basic principle remains that if a disagreement arises at the level of an individual unit, shift or equivalent, the Unit Representative and his or her counterpart will try to resolve it. If they cannot, either of them can refer the disagreement to Area Level. There is no longer any need for a formal joint statement of what the dispute is about, still less any need to try to agree any such statement. (this is to ensure the lack of cooperation by either party should not be allowed to make the disagreement fester or threaten the status quo). To be clear if a local representative wanted to register a disagreement unilaterally because the local manager was refusing to register it jointly, we would still expect a full report from the local representative to the area representative in line with our current joint IR training...

LTB 184/21 PATHWAY TO CHANGE AGREEMENT - NEW LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT

LTB 199/21 – PATHWAY TO CHANGE – DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS AND REVISED ACHIEVING AGREEMENT PAPERWORK

attached is a copy of the Revised Achieving Local Agreement document that will now be used to accurately record the reason(s) why an agreement was unable to be reached prior it being referred to the next level of the process for action.

Both LTB'S should be read in conjunction with each other.

The employer will be more than aware that most employees moan like there's no tomorrow about the job and everything to do with it but never leave, so it leaves the trump card well and truly in the employers hand.
