I have to admit, tom, that I'm not a big fan of King Crimson. "1st Century Schizoid Man" is okay to blast a few cobwebs from my hair, but apart from a couple of other tracks from In the Court of the Crimson King (such as "The Court of the Crimson King"), that's about it. I find Fripp & Co. to be a bit too quirky. Experimentation is one thing, but Crimson can be a bit awkward to listen to.

Oh well, that's my opinion. Maybe I need to listen to Larks' Tongue in Aspic a few more times. It was rated very highly, and the line-up of Robert Fripp, John Wetton, Bill Bruford, David Cross, and Jamie Muir is impressive.

Might check that one out blue. Used to be a bit of a grunger in my teens. Remember listening a lot to their first album Ten. It was an age of discovery for me. Different influences. I stopped at Vitalogy.

Well I had a good go at Gigaton. Listened through the first 3 tracks in full, then ended up skipping through them. I guess my musical tastes have changed a bit. You inspired me, though, to revisit some classic albums of the era. This was one I really enjoyed:

Classic! I wonder how he would have sounded without any electricity. Reminds me of that Bill Bailey sketch:

No video for this. It's their latest studio album released December 2020. A short description here:

@tomtallis you might find the description interesting if you're not already aware of it...

Yeah they sampled Music Is The Light by Pooka. The rest is ok.

Edit That read more negatively than I meant. Should have listened to the album in order instead of skipping to track 24 and being somewhat underwhelmed by the rest. Shame really as it looks good on paper with Kurt Vile and Vashti Bunyan etc

Great find tom! Bass much? That's right up my boulevard that is. :thumbup
I don't know why, but it brought this one to mind. Maybe the yellow cover..?

An old classic:

Leeds, West Yorkshire's The Sisters of Mercy (the Andrew Eldritch/Patricia Morrison incarnation) ~ "Lucretia My Reflection" [Album: Floodland - 1988]
