Is it my imagination or are they already starting to bog down? Couple of times I've tried to dispatch a tracked item as delivered and nothing on screen responds to input until a quick off/on of the power button.
The machine stops.

They need to try and split the main app into separate apps, at least by splitting the delivery stuff off into it's own app

\I've noticed that occurring about once a day since I started using them this week, as you suggest the only way to unfreeze the screen it to switch the screen off and then back on, that issue rarely occurred on the old PDA's.

We also seem to have got a very basic navigation system now on RON, which simply states "turn right" rather than "turn right road for the A1" then just announces "you have arrived at your destination" rather than "No 22 Acadia Drive is on your right" which is still shown on the screen, as it was on the old PDA's. Not sure why they didn't just use the old PDA's navigation system or, better still, Google maps with live traffic updates.

they refuse to work during low or no signal.. scan a post office... go to click next and nothing.. doesn't work until your down the road.. once away from the dead zone, it works fine.. totally useless.

There is. A guy came round our office to show us and it had an over the shoulder harness and a belt holder. There is also a new belt pouch in the new uniform range.

Mine let the raindrops do the writing when trying to fill the Safeplace>Other note.

For a brief second I though it'd been hacked by a MiraiBot sort of thing.

They are better but still bad in the rain if that makes any sense.

Not very well. Screen kept freezing. Don’t know if that was to do with the rain. Trying to scan long after the customer had answered the door. Usual conversation. “How are you?” They ask with rain dripping off my cap. “ better than being sunny” my reply  :so there

Nothing can be done about it at the mo but they are working on it, blame the trialists for passing them.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
