RMCtv : Forcing revisions at the cost of staff mental health, wellbeing, morale and QoS? : Simon Thompson "My fault, I hear it a lot, but phone a helpline"

Post by POSTMAN »

Is the importance of being able to say 'I've delivered my promise' so great in November, that you're prepared to push structural revisions through no matter what the cost to staffs mental health and wellbeing, morale and QoS?
Pushing revisions through just before peak could be reckless and cause serious disruption to the business, plus added stress and pressure on top of what frontline staff already face.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

You know it takes a big man to admit they're wrong. Can you imagine Rico saying that? Who's really to blame here? He's probably under much more pressure from these shareholders/stakeholders than anyone.
We've agreed to yearly revisions anyway, so it'll just have to be a belt and braces approach and we'll deal with the fallout later. The mantra of the day is "You have a finishing time".

I think I've been hypnotized by the soothing voice... :chuckle

oh well at least this bloke is now showing his true colours and we have all heard it now that yes they will be done but they will be an absolute s**t storm as usual and its nice to know that the share price and the share holders are more important than the staffs health and wellbeing regardless of what s**t it causes :evil/mad , i cant understand why the cwu are just doing nothing :cuppa . come back Rico.

They don’t give a s**t about our mental wellbeing. None of us should be working “crazy hours”, putting our mental health on the line to complete unachievable workloads in order to get the revisions done. Follow the cut off procedure and watch the managers squirm.

Our revision went well, one job got split up and added a street to some others without telling the guys doing it, the biggest jobs and growth got ignored so now weve got guys bring back the bit thats been added to them and it being passed around the office on overtime, the biggest jobs in the office doing overtime as normal and the growth being done on overtime. Luckily we have people who want overtime.
