It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Lets stop planning to fail by lapsing HALF A BLOODY JOB then and start doing things properly. Lapsing has been the get out of jail free card for managers lately "do lapsing first, bring back your own job". I hate bringing stuff back, if it was left in the fitting you could have at least bought someone in to take it out, ffs, its not rocket science

So what are you wanting us to do Nick? Come in and work when we should be self isolating? Work for free to clear the office?

:confused

He's got the tone of that broadcast all wrong - acting as if its been OUR fault rather than a deadly pandemic

I'm actually glad QofS is going back to normal.
No hiding failed revisions now.
Managers are going to hate this.

Totally agree

Lets start by ensuring that all walks get delivered instead of using Covid as a rather convenient excuse to deliberately fail walks and save on docket
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

SDs will almost certainly go back to 9am and 1pm on that day as well. probably if they aren't already every walk that was a van share before Covid being back to being a van share with no exceptions

Good news.
Our Unit is failing miserably in ‘lighter’ summer season so when it gets heavier in September managers will be unable to hide behind temporary covid restrictions excuse.
More work + more pressure from managers not realising its impossible to do workload requested. Bring it on , it will soon be Christmas

Why is georoute still being used after all these failed revisions? Does it take into account, inclines, stairs, deliver to neighbour, collections, time ppl take to come to door, notice lefts filled in, and prob a few things ive missed ? Why bypass the staff who do the job , it all seems a big con . Cut offs galore soon , dont want to but .

What about the "runners"? They will have skewed the figures if they hadn't used georoute. The DOMs would just get a runner on a walk when measuring it

Is 1st September also the date for the absolute return for the way things were done pre covid?
