Well the unit rep 'advised' members to vote YES knowing full well that issues had not been resolved and probably never will be, and now the office is unsurprisingly a total mess.
I understand what you're saying now. I think the Rep was out of line advising you to vote Yes if he thought t was going to fail! IMO it's different if there's a complicated National Ballot and the CWU recommend voting YES (although some might disagree). If it's a Local Ballot affecting you're unit I'd take a more independant view point. :cuppa

The"duty holder"should go f**k themselves.It isn't their duty on their day off.
It is the rest day cover's duty.
If the duty holder wants to work overtime on their day off they can cover what needs covering.
I agree with what you're saying Clash. :thumbup

Too many Duty Holders just assume that they'll be working their day off on "Their" duty. You can see why the DOMs let them though, because if they tell them they'll have to cover another duty they normally get told, "Well I'm not going to work my day off then" and the DOMs one postie down. :Boo hoo!

I agree that the Day Off Cover should be treated the same as Duty Holders and if you want to work your day off you do whatever duty needs covering. It's never going to happen though is it? :cuppa

Its so simple now mate.you can go over and book docket or just cut off. When 36 hrs come into affect next year you'll have less time to complete.Just go at your own pace .If the manager comes up to you on a light day asks you to lapse .,just say works been added to my duty ,thats my lappsing .or just say I have no time and walk away.
