Question about a small but important detail.

Post by JKSmudge »

Does anyone know if the 4/5 week periods are defined as when OT is worked or when it's actually paid ? TIA

I don't see that those LTB's answer a very pertinent question.
So many holes it's ridiculous.
One part even mentions the monthly periods within the 6 monthly ones will be "broadly similar".
There is no year on the dates given.
I mean, wtf??

i cannot believe this farce of an agreement was even voted in and it says a lot when 24 branches never even bothered voting . i think it is a disgrace that the people who have put claims into the e/t ( inc me ) have now been told you either agree or we WONT SUPPORT you in court to get your claim which i find disgusting when these claims has put pressure on the company :evil/mad , and another thing that has pissed me off is that some have been paid from the company but not on the condition of 8 hrs o/t a month over a 6 month period and like i have said to upper cwu officials its a shite agreement as i have done a regular 15 hours April , May , july , which is in total of 45 hours o/t but because i only did 5 hours in June ( 50 hrs ) i wont get a penny regardless what i do in Aug and Sept . well anyway i will be getting my money as i have chucked my union subs over this so i will be saving £190 a year and i think there was another 4 in the office that have done the same .

Get yourself logged onto the RM app.
You can access all your old wage slips there.
My claim was opened in September 2019 through ACAS.
Just had an email saying if I want to keep the claim open I have to let them know by the 13th August.
Its hard to know which way to go as you're unsure how long a tribunal will go back to.
I'm going to see if I hear anything from RM before then, if not or its not a monetary offer, will just let ACAS deal with the whole claim- I don't see why I should have to accept what it's obvious is rubbish terms of this agreement.

Trouble is if too many people leave the union then RM will de-recognise them and then it really will be open season for RM as to what they force through

Where I am very few new starters join the union, and most PT staff have already left the union as they’ve had very little help and support.

As for the claim itself, I’ve done a minimum of 8 hours OT every month since my last payout in 2019 so I should receive what I’m owed. Going forward though at some point if they start cutting out OT so I don’t qualify for future periods, I’ll just cut out all my OT full stop. They will need me to do more hours before I need them. It really does feel like a game of chess at times.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

to be honest rm are just doing what they want anyway and there is no push back from the cwu, well not in our office anyway . so why pay them money and fight your own corner everyday anyway .
