Can anybody tell me what Section 9 says?

I will have to cut off tomorrow at my normal finishing time due to travel arrangements in order to get home.
Surely OT is not compulsory.

I've never heard of this section 9 crap, and that's probably why, it's a pile of crap. Do your hours and nobody can have cause to complain, except of
course, some idiot out of his depth and under the delusion that good management entails bullying / harassing somebody into working in their own time
against their will.

Bottom line is, YOUR TIME IS YOURS TO DO WHAT YOU LIKE, ROYAL FAIL TIME IS WHATEVER YOUR OFFICIAL START AND FINISH TIME HAPPENS
TO BE. Just for any lurking dunderheads, errrr, I mean DUMs out there.

Already been called by two of my fellow workers about start times tomorrow and none of us know... Will go in at my usual 6am start and be in pub by 2.10 thats 10 mins after my duty ends!!!!! Overtime??? NO F***ING THANKS

O/T is voluntary...end of discussion. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise...unless there's been some major changes to contracts in recent years that is, but I'm sure I would of heard something about that.
I see at least one reply saying that Saturday hours apply (and I'm pretty sure that has happened on previous Xmas Eves) so good luck to you! Sadly, our small office has no rep and the usual procedure of negotiating Xmas pressure arrangements has not happened so we're a bit in the dark. It would be a nice gesture if RM were to say leave the MS items but to be honest I don't think they'll have much choice if we're going to be snowed under with more important mail. It was so busy yesterday that I left a good deal of mail behind for tomorrow. That coupled with the mail that is frantically being sorted as I type this message will no doubt be unworkable.

*edit* Bugger!! Half of this message just disappeared!! Lol! I can't be asked to write it again but basically I just added that it's to be another 'family friendly' RM Xmas....try not to think about the possibility of phone bills and Sky mags turning up to further the chaos!!

As far as I'm aware in my DO we are working normal Monday hours (and we have phone and electricity bills plus a heap of mailsort for tomorrow )
