He would give Tom Daley a run for his money, they say Italians dive, he can trip over a blade of grass. Would not play him at all.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑11 Jul 2021, 09:44One thing is certain - if England start with Jack Grealish then the tactic won't be to park the bus.
With Jack Grealish you wouldn't want to try and park anything.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Me too. If everyone else was starting late, I'd be working to time. No way I'd be finishing later so some people could watch a football match! Was the op joking?Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑10 Jul 2021, 17:06This thread made me laugh..![]()

Re: Euro Final
It was a poor tournament and probably the best team won it.
Has anything changed for England?
"Skirmishes" in Central London. Fighting at the stadium. Racist abuse.
No change there then.
As for the football - 30% possession and 1 shot on target. (Kane didn't even touch the ball in the penalty area)
Gareth Southgate appears to be as much lifestyle coach as football manager. I can imagine them all having a sniff of Gwyneth Paltrow's vagina candle before the game (It would explain the penalty misses)
He probably doesn't need me to tell him that with those statistics they won't win many matches.
You can't really build anything on such feeble foundations.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Not forgetting the inevitable expert analyses by the Monday morning managers who claimed to recognise it was poor tournament with poor teams several games ago, and could have predicted the outcome even at the group stages.

Re: Euro Final
I was on holiday last week, and my DOM texted me to tell me that my day off was Monday. However, he asked me to come in on that day, and when I was in , I had to do a row on another walk as well, as it was "a bit of a car-crash". Obviously, with annual holidays, and lots of people pulling a sickie or asking for a day off in advance, it probably was tbf.

Can't remember when but years ago it was England v Brazil in the world cup. 7am kick off. We threw in our walks, bundled up and went to the pub for the game. ( No boozing
)
Came back and took the walks out, no problems.
Local agreement of course.

Re: Euro Final
We walked out on strike on 21 June 1990 at Mount Pleasant, when England were playing Republic of Ireland in the 1990 World Cup. I can't remember what the strike was about, I think it was probably because mail was brought in from another MC which was on strike.
It was coincidental that it was on the day of the match of course, but that probably helped.
