Why can't somebody be a Russian and a national socialist?

Just read. I'm not sure what your mate is talking about in truth. The semiotics are all mixed up. "Russian Nazi's" ?
As Semiotics' (good Newspeak word there) meaning is almost entirely contextual...as any good C/T-er knows.....I'm not sure you know what you're spouting either. For someone who likes to think they're such a perceptive thinker you do seem almost too ready to believe "it's them English wot dunnit" and disregard other eye witness accounts.
Did Ol' Jet get some abuse from a bunch of fans at some time in the past, and now all fans are guilty of something...anything? :hmmmm

We cant soley blame the English and give the Russians a free pass, but we can't do it in the other direction either. I imagine the majority of people on this board are English supporters. It's easy in that case to say "no it couldn't have been us, we're great" and in turn it's easy for people who dislike the whole English football scene (most of the other home nations lol) and people who dislike football in general, to blame the English. Personally, I think the blame is to be shared between the English and Russian fans equally, as well as any other twat who decides to join in with these fights.

It's absolutely terrible that this is a topic for discussion in this day and age. Football is supposed to be a game that unifies all nations and transcends all barriers, yet here we are with people spoiling it for everyone. It may be a tiny minority of people that are at it, but it's still enough that I bet people would think twice about taking their kids to a game, which is heartbreaking (and I don't even have kids!).

What a disgrace.

Lets see how they spin this one.

They were advised to stay there before the tournament as lens is such a small place. I've been to both and can see why they were told to stay there.
