Treacherous weather conditions in the Fort William area are hampering last minute Christmas postal deliveries.
Royal Mail said one delivery van left the road and two postal workers slipped and fell on black ice.
A spokesman said the service would do its best to deliver letters and parcels in time for Christmas and extra staff would carry out a Sunday delivery.
Icy weather led to a series of traffic accidents, including a 10-car pile-up on the northbound A9 at Auchterarder.
Police said no one was seriously injured and the road has now reopened.
