CHRISTMAS mail has been stolen after four postboxes were forced open by raiders in Cumbria.

Thieves cracked boxes in and around Brampton at one of the busiest times of the year for post, when families would be mailing cards and gifts in time for December 25.

Community leaders in Brampton described those responsible as “despicableâ€
