White van man

Post by Fishyfingers »

Not sure how many offices have this but at this time of year we have a couple of hired vans to cope with Special deliveries and packets,i being one of the white van men have noticed that when it comes to road junction's people are not so generous letting me out when in the white van compared as to the normal Royal Mail red one,i think it would be an idea to get some sort of easy removable sign for the side of the van to let people know it is a Royal mail van.

Or why don't we get TNT or DHL stickers for the side. We deliver enough of their f*cking packets!!!

Have you also checked to see that these hired white vans are displaying the correct no smoking signage. Failure to display correct signage is an offence as even although these vans are on hire they are being used as a workplace vehicle.

At my RDC, Distribution didn't provide the Drivers or Vehicles to send out even ONE Flex yesterday. Because of the amount of Mail we are handling at the moment, it meant that even though we filled every Trailer. There was still 1st Class STL in the Dispatch Lanes when the Night Shift came in!!!!! and virtually ALL of the 2nd Class Mail was still waiting to be loaded too. All this, is dispite the fact that we are normaly able to send at least a couple of Flexes out when we need to!

As the STL sometimes gets to us after the cut off point, it won't go on the figures as a failure. But it infuriated us, as some of it will be Christmas Cards and Presents. Whatever happened to providing a Service?
Oh yes, Crozier and Leighton happened!!!!!
