Godwin's law relates to the introduction of a completely unrelated comparison.
It's not really relevant if someone states that there are no "good or bad" morality judgements that can be made about a national flag is it?
I agree with what you're saying. It was just an observation about the Swastika Flag/Nazism .... I'm sure most of us are aware that the Swastika is a much older symbol used by Greeks, Celts & Anglo-Saxons. :cuppa

You do love the overly-dramatic response, but then again you are the poster who brought up Nazi flags etc in a thread about Bristol MC and it's flag at half-mast.
Well that does prove "Godwin's Law" doesn't it? :cuppa

So why throw out comments about Nazism ? What is the relevance of Nazism with British Union Flag ? How can the two be conflated when we have fought against them on our own with the Empire before America got involved ?

In the context of flying the Union Flag on public buildings in 2021 there's no morality judgements, which is/was the original point.
You appear to want to keep bringing it back to how it's viewed as a symbol of past actions by the world at large, which despite your constant returning to it, is an entirely separate issue, and rather larger than whether the Bristol MC boss wanted to fly the flag at half-mast or not.

It was NW who moved the debate on to saluting, respecting or ignoring a flag.
It was you who moved it on to whether a flag can be judged morally "good or bad".
How much control do you want over a discussion?

At our mail centre, I pulled our flag down to half-mast on the day of his death. I was approached by several members of staff asking for this to be done immediately.

Given the title of our company is Royal Mail, we have a crown on our logo and our history is intertwined with the monarchy I think it is the right thing to do especially when combined the Duke's long service to this country and to the Queen.

However, I do understand that not everybody has positive feelings about the flag but given above I think it was the right thing to do.

Having the flag itself is another question but for me, part of having the flag is reclaiming it from people who misrepresented it supposedly in my name.

That I agree.

The far right misuses it to advance their cause.
The far left sneers at it and hates Britain.
