Fixed term contract

Post by kidgorgeous »

All the current jobs on royal mail website appear to be fixed term ending 2022. Understand know one can definitely answer this but would it be the case you would likely be kept on unless you weren't up to the job?

I would say that the majority are kept on.

Once you've got your feet under the table, and got used to the job keep an ear out for mention of "Revision". This is basically when the rounds are re-organised and replotted. All offices in the UK will undergo such a revision over the next few years, and indeed it should soon be an annual occurrence. Once the revision is in is when they tend to move people from fixed term to permanent contracts, though usually they are part time.
