Knackered

Post by Adamcarter »

I was on delivery from 9.50 am until 14.30.

I'm off to bed shortly, was bloody freezing as well today, plus I have the Lurgi so what a crap day.

If its busy like that tomorrow, I'm cutting off, never get any thanks for hard work. :dance

The One Without the Business

Post by majeed »

Dear brother and sister posties &c.

Today was supremely light on the walk. I have been wearing my hat all week so decided to take it off, as the wind was freezing but not so cold that I needed a hat - besides, I was wrapped in my usual 'twenty layers' and sweating like a ------- well, you can complete the sentence! Had the usual 'requests from the street' (and no, that does not mean certain 'female' types wanting 'business'!), a few 'That's my mail - I'll take that' a few, 'Isn't there any more mail for me?' requests from the door and a few, 'Oooh! You're early!' [Majeed: yeah, well don't get used to it!] Finished with just an hour over and then went to sort for four hours in the office. There was a high percentage of what seemed to be Christmas cards. It's amazing how your back aches when you've been stood for four hours... well' anyway, we finished and I walked home. Day off tomorrow and I will be celebrating Eid. Yay! All my regards from Bradford. Wish you were here?

Majeed.

Well, judging by what has been coming through our office, the rush is yet to come! Expect a heavy couple of days ahead!

I hate red envelopes!!!!!!!!

Post by ray of sunshine »

Walked into work this morning and found 2 boxes full of 1st class mail left over from yesterday :mad :mad
Then sorting from 6am-9.30am!
Didnt start down on my duty until 12.50pm.
Soon as it got dark, couldnt read the addresses on the red cards :mad :mad
Had people coming out saying your late!
I was strugging to read the numbers on the cards when one customer opened the door and just stood there.
i turned around and said "Evening"
Last letter 5.20pm.
went around to see my parents and had a lemsip.
knacked :cuppa :cuppa
bed 9pm :chuckle :chuckle
