Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
I never see the point of doing that on a site that encourages debate.
People either want information, even if they disagree with it, or they want an echo chamber that reinforces their own biases.
If you accuse someone else of being a manager then do you just want an echo chamber and you are just trying to shut down a different opinion. Or do you really think managers should not post on Royal Mail Chat? My own opinion is that neither of these positions is acceptable, and both are pointless.
Which is why I will never understand why people post "You are just a manager", or "You must be a manager".

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
Advice from some folk that have had it is to take paracetamol beforehand to help take the edge off any mild side effects. If you can take paracetamol, of course - and always read the label etc !

To be fair aiden your post was rather silly which isn't like you.
I'm tired and aching every day mate and it doesn't stop me posting on here. There's a massive difference between being fit to work and fit to pick up your phone for two minutes, how else would you manage to phone in sick or make it to the Doctors?, being sick doesn't have to mean completely incapacitated.
It was a bit unnecessary mate but the manager thing is still a daft reaction.

It is interesting that legally paracetamol must contain a leaflet which states all side effects etc but when you go for an inoculation and you ask for original leaflet which nhs had been provided then you are almost branded a conspiracy theorist..glad i found though a link on Government website called yellow card where you can find around 60 pages of side effects and deaths which you should legally be informed before agreeing on any medical procedure..

I wonder when we are back to two/three in a van, will they pair up the vaccinated & non vaccinated together? Even different areas of working within the unit?

When I went for mine at the local GP run centre they were handing out the leaflet that you get with any drug that lists reported possible side effects to everybody.bogues2009 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2021, 06:42

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
In my area they provide the leaflet which says that majority of ADR symptoms including headache, fatigue etc..you are pretty much not allowed to know the ‘rest’ of the symptoms as they say it would scare off people taking it and therefore the population shouldn’t know really. The issue is that we are still really in Phase3 TRIALS which ends around end of January 2023 therefore it is important to know what are the results of the trials to know what i can expect from this inoculation. The data is available for those who believe in informed consent (knowing risk/benefits) to decide if it something which would benefit me and the society or it MIGHT make it worse due to the way this product works inside your body POTENTIALLY interfering with the way your body produces proteins and the way it fights naturally with infections now being mRNA ‘instructed’..PM me if you want a prove that myself and all my family has been fully vaccinated during lifetime therefore i believe I shouldn’t be in ‘anti-vaxxer’ etc category..tabact wrote: ↑25 Mar 2021, 10:51When I went for mine at the local GP run centre they were handing out the leaflet that you get with any drug that lists reported possible side effects to everybody.bogues2009 wrote: ↑25 Mar 2021, 06:42

The next time they rush you to hospital and go to pump you full of all kinds of drugs to save your life stop them and ask to read the leaflet first.
The average guy in the street probably knows more about the potential side effects of the covid19 vaccine than they do about aspirin because everyone is watching.

It was a bit unnecessary mate but the manager thing is still a daft reaction.
There are countless posts on here with people being ill and from my tiny memory no one else has put them down like you did.
Yes your post was uncharacteristic but you still did it for what ever strange arse reason.
The manager thing is a slight moot point in this instance, even though it's something that is a piss off for us.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
