Scores of items of Christmas post are feared to have been destroyed after a fire was started in a Royal Mail post box.
The blaze happened in School Road, Peterculter, Aberdeen, at about 1930 GMT on Sunday.
Grampian Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.
Grampian Police, appealing for information, said that due to the time of year it is believed up to 150 items were destroyed.
