Today all eligible full-time and part-time CWU-grade colleagues have received a pay increase of 2.7% backdated to April 2020.

The agreement on pay was one of the key outcomes of our recent negotiations with CWU. As previously communicated, the Pathway to Change provided for a 2.7% pay increase from April 2020 with a further increase of 1% for April 2021.

The 2.7% has been implemented in this week’s pay and February salaries, including arrears backdated to April 2020.

The 2021 pay award of 1% will come into effect from April 2021 with revised pay rates and any arrears paid on 30 April. This will be followed by a further hour of the Shorter Working Week once revisions have completed. Some parts of the business have alternative arrangements.

The pay agreement recognises the efforts of frontline colleagues during the pandemic and their commitment to the future transformation of Royal Mail as we take advantage of parcels growth.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The Advice Centre Pay Team are currently experiencing high call volumes. If you think a payment is missing it may be included in the other payments section, if you require a breakdown of all the payments on the left side of your payslip, you can request this via the app. You can do this by clicking on the FAQ link and clicking the 'Ask a Pay Question'.
