New CEO Simon Thompson is good man

Post by darrellsimmons69 »

New RM CEO Simon Thompson is a good man!!! He is what we need 2 take us into the future :thumbup

I think that as a board, no, as the blue shirts that we are have to get behind this man and follow his vision, to where? Who knows maybe the moon! Limitless mail in a digital world is the future we all crave and Mr Simon can take us there!

For too long we have maligned our brave CEO'S and criticized the harsh decisions they have been forced to make by our much less than perfect performance.

Now, let's stop coming in early, stop messing around on delivery, take our breaks and we'll show Mr Simon what we are made of.

Are we human? No, we are Blushirts!

Lets deliver like it!!

I would like to say hello, beinvenue & namaste Mr Simon, welome :pray

while ever there are shareholders to satisfy the cr@p will always roll downhill
he does appear to be more hands on and i watched a video of him other day where he said he'll leave 1 office completely up to the dom with no interference from above to see what happens, good idea in principle but long term it will never happen as it will probably clear all the office and morale will be lifted, but will have probably cost the company thousands in losses due to cost cutting over the years,
to make profits we will suffer, be it aches and pains of the body or mind

Let's be fair here he is rich and has a nice house he looks like harry potter has a pleasing demeanor yet is A privileged ruthless capitalist who never works and has never done weekends and has a bonus for failure of £142,000 on top of his £753,000 plus free health care and transport allowance. Not to mention his record in test and trace which had a £37,000,000,000 Billion budget your grand kids will still be paying this as they get their pensions!

Test and trace cost the country more than the entire 20 year shambles that was the Afghanistan invasion. Also he only looks like Harry Potter if Harry Potter had been left to melt on a radiator for a few weeks

Simon Thompson so far.....

Test & Trace - Fail.
Revisions - Fail.
Improve Trust in the Workplace - Fail.
Get his ass out of his office to come and negotiate a fair pay deal - Fail.
Caused damaging strikes - Fail.
Losing £1million a day (apparently) - Fail.

The guy wanted to improve trust in the workplace then has shown his true colours in this dispute where he isn't being honest with us. Instead of improving trust he's lost the whole workforce, 115,000 people strong. It's an absolute joke!

How has this guy done any good for Royal Mail? he's taken us backwards.

Some would say he is a hindrance to finding a way out!

A cynical person might say that Simon (and Keith Williams) are exactly right for Royal Mails most important department- the shareholders. The stubborn refusal to engage with the union keeps profits high, and as a bonus they are more than willing to put executive bonuses over the wellbeing and financial stability of the workforce, and will happily threaten to dismantle a 500+ year old institution in order to ensure that the bulk of the money keeps flowing out of the company into the hands of the few.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if he started announcing layoffs in a bid to "prove" how poor the company is, before then trying to recruit a bunch of agency staff for Christmas

And how would he achieve this as the agency do 20 parcels in 5 hours where will all the workers come from India Afghanistan Albania since they cannot fill the vacancies we have now just do not sign anything!

Not saying he'd achieve it, but doing it then scuttling off with his bonuses in hand would be very on brand
