Re: Ballot result?
48% not voted ?
we all work in a Royal Mail Building ,so have access to a post box .
some may be of sick ,but still get a delivery ,so could hand it to them or this time vote on line
we should be in this day and age be returning 100% of votes ,either YES / NO or if people don't care an invalid vote.
what will the UNION do about this ?? probable nothing
may be TRUMP could look in to the missing votes

Surprising how a few quid a week will persuade people do work that buts off. Still paid well under the national average. Still under a tenner an hour after tax.

I can't see what people have to complain about. You just start on your time and finish on your time. Take your meal break and just do your job at a normal pace, if you can't complete in the time just cut off. Nobody can make you work over your time if you don't want to.

What's Royal Mails past record in managing change?Kesknight wrote: ↑03 Feb 2021, 18:38I can't see what people have to complain about. You just start on your time and finish on your time. This whole modernisation program will be poorly planned, executed and managed. A recipe for the continuation and increase in 'the culture' of intimidation and bullying to get the office cleared each day.

Not everyone wants to go to work and have to fight over workload every day.Kesknight wrote: ↑03 Feb 2021, 18:38I can't see what people have to complain about. Re: Ballot result?
i think the only way cwu and the company would be serious about changing the culture in offices was to take it away from managers looking after managers was to give all b&h and grievance cases to an independant body to deal with , ie Acas , instead of just moving these clowns around the offices to keep there job and we all know these people will never change , but heho they have missed the boat again imo .

Regardless of what you personally feel about the Agreement I think we should all be more upset by the fact that 48% (NEARLY HALF)of our colleagues couldn't be arsed to vote.... either way!
You can bet a lot of those will be scrolling through their FB page liking pictures of all sorts of crap ..... but can't be bothered to put a cross in a box. As previously mentioned I hope they don't have the neck to complain about anything in the Agreement.

Re: Ballot result?
No real surprise. Only element of the deal I’ve heard people talk about in my office is the pay increase. It’s all most people seem interested in. I would guess the vast majority haven’t even read the agreement. Just have to wait now for parcel separation to come in and, when they put an extra hours walking on a duty, the first person to say “why did the union agree to this?”.

Re: Ballot result?
You all had your chance to vote either way but many couldn't be bothered, those against the deal are quite prepared to take the money though, unfortunately you've missed your chance now so stop moaning and get on with it, by not voting you agreed to change.

You're making the judgement that not voting was down to not being arsed.
What should a member do if they don't like the agreement but have no faith that another year of pissing about by the negotiators would bring anything better?
1. Vote yes and give the union the false impression that this deal is in any way acceptable.
2. Vote no and potentially condemn the membership to another year of nonsense followed by the same deal in different words or perhaps even worse.
3. Just don't vote at all.
Not voting can be down to laziness but it is also a legitimate democratic choice in some cases and should not be the subject of abuse.
