Pay and Modernisation Agreement - Phase 3 Trials





Meetings have been held over the last week to discuss how we are going to jointly deploy the various aspects of the Pay and Modernisation Agreement. One of the more pressing issues was the selection of the appropriate offices for the Phase 3 Trials which need to be progressed and concluded by Friday 4th January 2008 .



The business have advised us of the full list of offices suggested by their Area General Manager's (copy attached) but it has been fully accepted that the final selection should be discussed and agreed between the Divisional Representatives and AGM's. Divisional Representatives will therefore be arranging a meeting with the AGM's to carry out this process as soon as possible to enable the above agreed timescale to be met.



Branches/Representatives will be aware that 4 trial offices in each Area are due to be included in the trial but it has been emphasised by the National Parties that productive trials must take priority over achieving the number of offices. The most important selection criteria is therefore offices where there is a willingness of all parties to participate so that a constructive approach will be taken from the start and there is a real prospect of worthwhile results.



At present the selection of the sites is all that we have asked the Divisional Reps/Areas to concentrate on, further details regarding the trial process/timetable itself will be circulated in due course.

Just had a quick look at the CWU site and spotted those offices earmarked for trials starting on 4th Jan- there's over 100, now there's a fairly wide spectrum there and maybe some of those who will be involved would be able to keep us informed of any developments?

Oh phase 3 again (TRANSFORMING THE WAY WE WORK)now anyone may think i have been banging on to much in the previous day's but it has now come to pass that trials will be imposed upon said office's!. IT IS NOW UP TO ALL TO DEFEND OUR JOB'S ONE AND ALL!.
