I've watched an interview with Dr Thomas where he responds to the accusations involving the boy with tetanus. He claims that the boy wasn't a patient at his practice before getting tetanus and the boy's parents where against vaccines.

The BBC has run into this problem before because they thought that balance necessitated giving equal airtime to a directly opposing view but if the first viewpoint is from an expert in their field with 20 years experience and the opposing view is from a crackpot wearing a tinfoil hat do they deserve equal exposure?

Similarly during Brexit debates an economist would present one side of an argument while a politician would be given equal airtime to refute the claims as though a politicians opinion should carry the same weight.

It's not a political failing, it's a failure to understand that not all opinions carry the same weight.

In the case of scientific debate if the vast bulk of evidence points in one direction and a small amount of evidence points in another direction although it should be investigated and should never be buried does it deserve equal exposure and to be debated on an equal platform?

Personally I don't think so.

Thankfully, the one dissenting voice in the 1854 Cholera outbreak WAS able to get his voice heard above the din of majority opinion of the time. It's hilarious that people will throw all kinds of nasty stuff down their throat in the form of food, drink and over the counter quack medicines that have had very little rigorous scientific testing but when it comes to a vaccine they suddenly get all squeamish and demand to peruse the scientific data, data that to most of us would be like trying to read Mandarin.

Where has this sudden fear come from or is it just a childish reaction to being told what's good for you?

If you live in a city you're absorbing more toxins through your skin in a day than you could squeeze into 100 needles.

My understanding on the above comment is that there is a difference in what we put down our throats and what we inject. Most of our good bacteria is situated around the lungs and our digestive system in an attempt to get rid of the nasty stuff. Injecting directly into the blood stream would bypass this defence.
For me, it's not a sudden fear but something I've been watching for a while, long before covid.
In looking for more information I came across "Kary Mullis" the inventor of the PCR test. I'm sure many are familiar with his statement that the test should not be used for diagnosis but he also made some very interesting comments on the HIV/AIDS link where scientific proof was bypassed by most of the experts.
It would be interesting to hear his views on the present situation but unfortunately he passed before covid took a grip.

It's long been my view that the toxins that we absorb through our skin and that we ingest are part of the reason that so many people are getting sick. I see these vaccines has another possible toxin.

Without getting into the biology too much your kidneys remove excess toxins from your blood which can be inhaled, ingested or injected.

Alcohol and drugs are prime examples but the food we eat and even the air we breathe also contain many toxins that reach the blood stream

I was reading on the news that one of the two new variants on Brazil might possibly render all current vaccines and any immunity gained from having had Covid before useless and re-infection might be possible. I don't think they know yet if that is the case.

Eventually I reckon that many places will demand some sort of official proof that someone has been vaccinated before they allow them in

Think its a matter of time when governments introduce a system, probably linked to your passport information on if a person has been vaccinated.

I believe that you can't with adenovirus vectored Vaccines (Oxford/AstraZeneca) you can only use them twice, initial plus booster.
If you were to use up your two goes with the adenovirus and scientists were to develop a treatment in the future for say Cancer then that treatment wouldn't be available to you as your body would have developed resistance to the adenovirus.
It is crazy for anyone that isn't vulnerable to have a Vaccine for Covid, if you are vulnerable then fair enough it's probably worth the risk.
