And part timers get their increased hr rate when they are on holiday or sick. Full time sees no difference, they don't get the hr extra on overtime to make up for it.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑27 Dec 2020, 15:11When you factor in the delivery supplement it's less than your pay rate and after 10 hours it's even less.
Semantics I know but it is a fact that once a part-timer hits 38hrs their overtime rate reduces.

Work your hours stand firm and have 12 Minutes extra sleep each day because the part timers will still be doing their hours!

I did work one hour less don't work harder and bring it back this is what change is it is for managers to manage it not you to accomplish it, We could go back to 1970 and have a 7 day week 45 hour plus if you want!rambo1 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2021, 20:29??? Re: THE PATHWAY TO CHANGE!
I was just comparing full time deal with part time. You get your rise by working an hr less. Do you work an hr less when your sick or on holiday? no. Part time get an increase in pay rate in lieu of not having the decrease in hrs, therefore they still benefit when they're sick or on holiday. I'm sure you can understand that.

Re: THE PATHWAY TO CHANGE!
IT's called hourly rate of pay and if your part time you only get 24 hours pay on holiday or the sick and less pension less pay of IHR or EVR.rambo1 wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 20:49I was just comparing full time deal with part time. Re: THE PATHWAY TO CHANGE!
It's not rocket science to suggest that in terms of basic take home pay alone the SWW only benefits part-time staff.
There are other considerations of course but if you isolate that position which to many members is the key issue then it's undeniably not a positive move.

It benefits all it's just that some run around come in an hour early to finish 5 minuets early well the swipe in and out will stop that if they ever install it. Some people on here have a detest for part time staff most would love full time hours if you think the grass is greener you all know what to do!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 22:15It's not rocket science to suggest that in terms of basic take home pay alone the SWW only benefits part-time staff.

An hour off the working week only benefits full time staff in terms of reduction of working time!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 22:32You're not paying attention, try to focus and remove the chip from your shoulder.k979aaa wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 22:24It benefits all it's just that some run around come in an hour early to finish 5 minuets early well the swipe in and out will stop that if they ever install it. Ask 1000 staff across any industry if they'd rather work 12 minutes less each day or have a 2.4% pay rise?An hour off the working week only benefits full time staff in terms of reduction of working time!

Every hour you work or get is money in the bank you can always ask for a buy down if you think it is so great being part time!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 23:29Ask 1000 staff across any industry if they'd rather work 12 minutes less each day or have a 2.4% pay rise?An hour off the working week only benefits full time staff in terms of reduction of working time!

Re: THE PATHWAY TO CHANGE!
Yes, that is true, but what you seem not to be grasping is when I'm on holiday I get paid for one hr less, 'working' an hr less when you're not actually at work is neither here nor there. Whereas the part time staff will not resort back to their old hr rate when they're on holiday , so in that respect, part time have come out of the sww deal relatively better off. If you can't grasp this I give up, I've tried to make it as plain and simple as I can. This is not a general conversation about the merrits of being full or part time, just the specifics of how the sww affected both.k979aaa wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 23:14An hour off the working week only benefits full time staff in terms of reduction of working time!Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 22:32You're not paying attention, try to focus and remove the chip from your shoulder.k979aaa wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021, 22:24It benefits all it's just that some run around come in an hour early to finish 5 minuets early well the swipe in and out will stop that if they ever install it.
