our work place coaches were cherry picked by our old union rep and since then has decided he no longer wants the job 3 years later they have done nothing for the extra £36 + a week extra.

by reading the previous posts it looks like our delivery office is the exception as our coaches do absolutely nothing for the pay rise.

My question is why does every office work differently from others since its the same company typical royal mail..

I'm a Wpc , I was asked by manager if i would do it , yeah some weeks are quiet but we do the pda training ,round training , customer complaints etc . I don't tend to book overtime for the first couple of days of the week if I go over if its quiet on the coaching side of it . Like others have said no one else wanted to do it so I thought why not .

£39.22 a week. Soon to be £40.67 or £176.23 a month or £2114 a year. Mine just gets put to one side each week and it pays towards my holidays.

We have 5 in our office was 7 but 2 have left the business (appx 200 staff) me personally I do most of the new starter training plus pda and new processes (in flight customer collection etc) some of the others don't really do anything because they don't get asked fair or not that's how our office works

We have couple of WPCs. One was the "trainer" long before there was the title "WPC". He doesnt do much as far as I can see. The others had to go through an interview process as there were more applicants than positions.

What others dont see is these guys read up of new "stuff" to inform us before implementation. They also do the coaching & counselling etc before it becomes a conduct issue.
