Christmas Bonus

Post by 1on4 »

This is my first year working as an LGV driver over Christmas, previously I've been a postie. What Christmas Bonus do we get as drivers? I see the posties have got 2 X £100 payments.
Thanks

Exactly the same. Everyone has £200 (fulltime). Even though delivery deserves more to be honest

Once you go down that rabbit hole it gets messy.
Even in a delivery office not everyone is impacted by Christmas the same way.
If you have a predominantly business duty or even a rural it's not anywhere near as bad.
Even two town duties can be vastly different.
Some will just work their hours and potentially deliver even less than they would during the rest of the year.
Then there's nightshifts etc.

The Christmas Bonus is only £100. The other £100 is a payoff from the old Colleague share debacle.

They are not really a bonus at all, ones a "christmas suppliment" and the other is an "incentive underpin payment"

which is why the letter we had back in November, about not getting a bonus was a bit confusing, what bonus, we never get one anyway.

To be honest in processing all the Christmas's bar this one I've found easier than the preceding months but this Christmas - oh my :)

It was murder and if my new years day is anything to go by it is going to be a hard few weeks going forward.

"Bonus" wise I think in my mail centre as with delivery it depends where you work - some areas were constantly hammered and others not so much.
