Re: Why you should support the agreement
Sometimes rejecting a first offer will get better terms bang heads together to speak as this so called agreement is piss poor.

Re: Why you should support the agreement
CWU originally wanted a good old fashioned stand alone payrise not linked to any changes. Unfortunately RML beat them back on that and insisted they would not and could not fund a payrise with out the workforce agreeing to operational changes.

Re: Why you should support the agreement
The solution is then no payrise for these operational changes, fact is all this could have been sorted over a year ago with a strike or two!scooby doo wrote: ↑31 Dec 2020, 20:20CWU originally wanted a good old fashioned stand alone payrise not linked to any changes. Yep, can see that being a winning strategy. We're all gonna refuse a pay rise. Thanks for the offer but no thanks, we're not gonna bother. You're a feckin fruitcake. The deal will be accepted and we will move on. Get over it or as others have said there are alternative ways of earning a crust.

Well prostitute as you will some of us have a common decency if the whole dispute was about pay it could have been sorted. But some just look after themselves guess that what it comes down to!RICARD020191962 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2020, 21:29Yep, can see that being a winning strategy. We're all gonna refuse a pay rise. Pay is always part of new deals , please stop rolling this line out . If pay was never part of disputes we’d be earning a pittance.P13 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2020, 21:44The dispute wasn't about a pay rise thoughRICARD020191962 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2020, 21:29Yep, can see that being a winning strategy. Re: Why you should support the agreement
I'm not rolling any line out , only stating facts that Terry pullinger rolled out . The dispute is about the 4 pillars, the pay deal is a separate issue, it has been added to the dispute as always because it encourages certain members to accept a crock of shitechickenwittle wrote: ↑01 Jan 2021, 09:46Pay is always part of new deals , please stop rolling this line out . Re: Why you should support the agreement
and so it begins
the f***ing inks not even dry on their pish proposed agreement
and we get this yesterday
if you start early (due to covid restrictions)and dont complete you will be returning to your normal times
you are no good to me if you dont complete (quote from manager)
if completing you can start when you want
so we are getting discrimination for only wanting to work your hours
and when moved to original start time someones brought in on o-time
joke company

Re: Why you should support the agreement
This has nothing to do with any agreement, it’s more about your manager being a dick .A bit of solidarity in your office would insure nobody started early .hans solo wrote: ↑01 Jan 2021, 10:46and so it begins

Re: Why you should support the agreement
Think terry should do live update this week before ballot papers come out and explain to the members about the 24 important issues.
Will save Martin Walsh and all the member's squabbling on here and only getting drips and drabs of the 24 important issues let Terry tell us what the 24 issue's are before we vote

Re: Why you should support the agreement
I’ll be joining you in voting NO as being a part timer for 11 long years there is nothing I can see in the agreement that gives me hope of being made full time over the next 11 years. Totally neglected by Royal Mail and the union as per usual. Fully expect my vote to make no difference though, this will be voted through by the morons who are blinded by a measly few hundred quid before tax. Those same people will be kicking off with the new duty structures in 6 months time when that money is long gone. Sad state of affairs.maisymoo04 wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 10:19BIG FAT NO FROM ME![]()

Re: Why you should support the agreement
It looks like the union got what it wanted in terms of the four pillars stuff, which RM will be able to drop like a stone whenever they wish, plus an admittedly good pay rise when nurses etc cannot even get a 1% rise.
I think the more informed posties wanted clarification on a multitude of other issues such as bench merging, Sunday working in new contracts, bullying & harassment, the three super hubs & mechanization of sorting, and a whole host of other issues which appear to have been left floating in the ether.

Re: Why you should support the agreement
if you wanted full time work why did you apply for a part time job, and whats stopping you from seeking one with another company now?toonshola wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 14:16I’ll be joining you in voting NO as being a part timer for 11 long years there is nothing I can see in the agreement that gives me hope of being made full time over the next 11 years.
