I used my credit card during the strikes as well, I'd just paid the damn thing off as well!!!

But, no pain, no gain.

I am sure if you could wait till 23:59:59 on the 13 / 12 / 2007 your pay could be in your bank account but do not blame me for royalmail's or anyone else's incompetance.

i still have feeling in my stomach, that we wont get the back pay or our long overdue bonus money..
i will believe it when i see my wage slip..
until then call me negative, but i will expect the worse..

Lost pay through striking .... 8 days wages.
Pay rise won through strike action .... £17.55/wk = £912.60 every year for the rest of your time at Royal Mail
compared to one-off lump sum and no pay rise, which was what was on offer when Leighton & Crozier were saying 'there is, and will be, no further money'

PAIN WITH NO GAIN ?

In purely wages terms, we are gaining substantially over the long-term. Yes, I realise we will doubtless be shafted on pensions, but that was always likely to happen irrespective of the pay issue. :evil/mad

I still think we could of had a better deal but it is better than nothing which was the first offer!.

So do I, which was why I voted no.

Unfortunately, the 'pain and no gain' poster typifies the kind of person that voted Yes (or worse, didn't vote at all). They can't see the long-term, only the short-term bung of a lump sum and backpay to October that in effect means they agreed to a deal that enshrined no pay increase at all for 6 months :d'oh! :d'oh! :evil/mad
