Many Countries have Arms industries, not sure what your point is.PostmanBitesDog wrote: ↑22 Dec 2020, 15:47That's right. And the war in Yemen is happening right now, too. With British-made weapons. Oh, and then there are arms deals between Britain and India, where the weapons are ultimately used against Muslims in Kashmir. Oh, and British-made weapons used against the Tamils in Sri Lanka.milly wrote: ↑22 Dec 2020, 15:21Fair enough, most of that happened years ago whereas the Chinese Communist Party are abusing human rights now.PostmanBitesDog wrote: ↑22 Dec 2020, 15:02Yep. Kinda like the Brits selling arms to the Saudi government who in turn bomb the crap out of Yemen. And then there's the history of how the Brits treated the Irish. And the British-built concentration camps in South Africa during the Second Anglo-Boer War. And, and, and...![]()
Heck, the list goes on.![]()
If you drive a Car I'm sure you have indirectly funded the Saudi government or do ask at the Petrol Station if your fuel has been ethically sourced.

Re: Vaccine
Are you actually in support of the comment made by Nigel Farage milly? Just seems you find his comment acceptable

Not in support of either. But your quick to jump into his defense. Personally I'm bored of people pointing fingers at each other with no actual proof of anything. Maybe they did this, maybe they did that. What does it change? You literally said sort the present, so what is the point in trying to say China this or that. We are both in no position to ever no what the truth is. You actually believe our government or any other countries government to be truthful in whatever situation appears, to us? The public?

Re: Vaccine
But hang on a second, milly. This may well be true about the People's Republic of China at the pandemic's initial stage, but negligence has been committed by the Johnson administration here in the UK during the pandemic, not once but several times. That goes for the Trump administration across the pond as well, even at this moment. And several other countries have handled the pandemic poorly (e.g. Brazil, Mexico, India).

Spot on. People choose to happily ignore our failings and quick to blame others. We've all failed this year not just China.PostmanBitesDog wrote: ↑22 Dec 2020, 17:39But hang on a second, milly. It's easy in hindsight but when Boris was faced with doomsday forecast from Neil Ferguson I can see why they went for a LockdownPostmanBitesDog wrote: ↑22 Dec 2020, 17:39But hang on a second, milly. But latterly the government have been a disgrace they keep locking down and fear mongering despite this virus being a bit worse than Flu.
I will concede that it is pretty deadly if you are over 70 but for most of us it isn't anything to worry about.

Re: Vaccine
Look at the overall deaths in the UK for the past 10 years and with a few days left of this year the total deaths are unremarkable.
If the media hadn't went into overdrive no one would have noticed that there was a Pandemic.

Re: Vaccine
That's quite a statement. I really do want to understand how you have come to this conclusion. Do you not think if we left it unchecked and the rates of infection and death rates go up our country would still be running ok?
Do you consider yourself fit and healthy to take on covid and win? Are you ok with yourself being fine from covid but happy to infect other people if you carry it? Your ok infecting your close friends and family? Knowing unfortunately a few of them will probably lose to covid? So in a way something that could of been avoided but you've made up your mind as long as your fine then sorry to the others?
I really do want to understand how people like you are ok with literally sacrificing needlessly others. Yes go on about other diseases, etc are far worse. I get it but if death could be avoided by doing certain things would you not do it?
Still think its ok? Yes? Then maybe you should just go walk yourself into a covid ward and see if you can take it on. If you win great, now go see your friends and family after that and see who wins and loses.

Lets play the searching for numbers game online with you
https://fullfact.org/online/2020-death-toll-comparison/
Now it does make you wonder what the figures would be if we lived as normal if those figures above are of us with covid rules in place.
