Tommo - the Union do it for us so as an ordinary Bod and Postman (less Mods hat) I see nothing wrong in them backing each other up at all.

TBTS... I come on here as a Postie.. Union member and mostly as Just myself... I dont need anyone to scratch my back or agree to anything i say... I dont care if anyone does or does not agree.... So the point of the Union backing all of us on here holds no relivence as i see it... Its just The two mentioned make points and slag regular posters on here But dont name names... Then somebody confronts one of them and its like a backs against the wall time for them.. But why??? Dont they or cant they speak there own corner and stand on there own??? As mentioned before... People come on this site and in five minutes EVERYBODY knows its a Pro Union anti RM site, Then you get the whined ups and deliberate Sarki arseholes who just want to go against the grain because its in there nature... Yes Long winded slagging sessions aint what this sites all about but FREE SPEECH IS JUST THAT.... Now i do again that your job.. Rocky and JP's job as MODs is a good and valued part to play in this site...

My aim is to have a conversation with you about you’re points which you had indicated that you like to hear other opinions and that I have already said that I don’t agree with you.

I’m interested by you opinion and I think it is great to have this sit, you can only change attitude by truth, if someone doesn’t agree then move on and say what you feel, if it gets boring then move on to something that is not boring, most people can see the truth when it’s pointed out to them, in short move on and most people will see it for what it is truth or lie.

I may be wrong in thinking that you don’t agree that anything can be gained by people using this forum, but I must say I have had a good experience from this forum and I also can identify with people who feel RM has showed it’s real true couloirs of disrespect to staff and to the union (not that the union has been organised effectively), customers and posters.

I see the problem here, as being down to the general belief that this site is Pro CWU and Anti RM. It's not as I am sure postman will agree. If it is I think Postman should change his welcome note. I base this from previous employment and also my wifes employers too.
I don't want this site to become PRO RM nor do I want it ANTI RM, it needs to stay impartial. It's success lies in it's ability to keep a neutral stance and this can only be achieved with the welcoming of everyones opinions, no matter who or what they are. Otherwise this site will just become a place for a handfull of angry Postmen to rant and agree with each other on everything. Teddy, free speech is something I firmly believe in, but abusing another poster for his/her opinions is something I don't. Free speech and abuse are not one and the same. In all fairness, my initial post was not a direct referal to you, it was a general comment. To which I recieved a disagreement without any reason, other than to infer I used to previously chat on PMC. My other posts then went on to reciever further name calling and accusations. For a member to recieve a derogative comment and then be expected the to just move on is unreasonable. I don't consider myself to be pro RM, RM is just an employer to me, like most I imagine. I do feel very sorry for postman at this point, as I believe this site was set up with the greatest of intentions and everyones interests in mind. Now he finds himself being forced into a situation where he may have to ban posters. I only hope that, if it comes to this, the poster is banned for their behaviour and not their views.

RM is very good at onething and that's sweeping the s**t under the carpet .A lot of stuff on here doesn't stirring up , it speaks for itself . You'll find that Postman etc have been on the end of some nasty fit ups from RM Mgrs .

Unite state RM is a arrogant firm that always knows best . It's always been autocratic , regarding itself above the law and inflexible but it's got a lot worse with it's regimented 70's command & control style with Leighton becoming Chairman .

The CWU CAN sit on things and spend too much time playing politics instead of representing it's members .

You don't get this Corporate Utopia or things improving , you just get the worst of both cultures . A very underhand firm too, lurching from crisis to crisis , poor communication, a culture of fear & numerous own goals and hostility from senior /area management who seem to live in Ivory Towers .

Managing by Dictat just promotes a them & us culture and poor IR .

True and I hope this will always remain the case, I would like to think that RM and the CWU do take on board some of the points that are put out. But how can we be took seriously when there is all this silly, childish name calling afoot? There are also customers, members of the public and managers who come on this site. Is it not an opportunity for them to get heard too.

RMC has the potential to be an indispensible source of information for us, the Public and the Managers. All we have to do: is cut out the abuse, and listen to each other.

The reason that there are so many negative comments here, is that we are going through a very bad time. Where the Service and our Working Conditions are under constant attack. This situation won't last forever. Once things settle down, we will no doubt see some more constructive comments.

It's Human Nature to get annoyed, and unfortunately (for some) to get abusive. We just need to excersise some more self control.

If we keep an open mind, then RMC could be the most useful tool for improving the atmosphere at work, ever to become available.

After all: if your opinions are valid, they will stand up to debate. Far from weakening your position. An open and frank debate, could well strengthen your position, and convince more people to agree with you.

Everyone is laden with baggage and prejuidces. Even the word prejudice suggests the author has a different opinion to that of the person they are talking about.

I for one count myself to be in a minority on here. I have my angle, possibly an agenda (not sure what it is) and most of the time I don't agree with what is being said, BUT how do you change your font?

I want to shout louder with bold and a larger font but can't do it. I hope my words speak for themselves and people understand where I am coming from so I shall remain in the default font and size for the time being.
