Wales is the worst for repetitive house names... literally every house name is just a variation on no more than 5 different words.

tyn, cae, bach, newdd, plas... pick any 2 of these words, put them in whichever order you like and you get the name of every house in Wales!

Another one: finding the van on a morning. We have about 70 vans in the yard squeezed in around 3 sides of the building plus a car park half a mile away where we sometimes have to leave them.

On average I waste 10 mins a day trying to locate the van. Sometimes I find it straight away (2mins) other times it takes me 10 mins to walk right round the outside of the building before trudging up to the car park and finding the van up there (another 10mins). On a morning there must be 30 of us at various points walking round looking for the damn thing.

I keep saying this to management- why can’t we have a column in the logbook where you write approximately where you’ve left the van eg near bike shed, near side gate, up at the car.

30 of us averaging 10 mins a day to find the van is 5 hours a day....that’s 30 hours a week wasted! Just writing ‘car park’ in a column would take 5 seconds.

As you’d expect it falls on deaf ears.

Foe the vans in the yard, why not have an allocated parking space for each one?

It's 5pm and the customer says, you're late today, are you busy? ....as you are stood there 90% obscured by their 5 parcels in your arms. Honestly.

When everyone has these massive xmas ribbons tied around the door and you have to try and pull the ribbon out of the way of the letterbox whilst holding a bundle only to find the letters won’t go through because the ribbon is wrapped around the door so tightly it stops anything being pushed through.

Jeez, do you deliver my walk lol. I've got one exactly like that. How thick are they? Oh and kinda related...ironing boards against the letter box inside the door , knocked one over once posting a book. Oops.

We have 7 walks in our SPDO and we all have "the cottage" "the white cottage" "cottage barn" "barn cottage" "the barn" and so on...

one fitting is only named houses and if you have never covered it before... GOODLUCK

We have tried allocated parking spaces for the vans. Did not work at all. People move whatever vans they want in the morning so they can park their cars in. So problem comes when the van comes back from delivery and a car parked in the allocated space hasn't left yet, so then the van gets parked in a space allocated to a different van. So van after van gets parked elsewhere.
