If this is simply about pay and nothing to do with the actual dispute, weren't we offered 6% over 3 years some time ago, which Laurel and Hardy decided wasn't even worth putting to the members.

A bit disappointed...... I was expecting further photo updates posted by Terry during the day...... but there were none.
It would of have been nice to see how Terry got on during his day out..... you know the thing........ Terry opens his packed lunch...... Terry plays in the sand pit........ Terry looks out of the train window on the journey home........
It would have been good to share in his journey and feel his excitement and wonder at the big wide world..... but sadly no..... it was not to be......

There is no doubt in my mind that they have already agreed a deal. If not TP would not have posted the picture. They are just having tea and biscuits this week before announcing it on Friday. I have no inside knowledge,just an educated guess. The QUALITY of the deal for us donkeys on the front line is anyones guess.

I wouldn’t be so sure on that. He posted a very similar thing back in August which turned to nothing. The union are trying to use social media this week to pressure Royal Mail into some sort of face saving deal. There’s no guarantee it will work.

My prediction for what it’s worth(not a lot). Tomorrow will bring an update saying things are very close to being sorted but a full update can’t be given until end of January. Royal Mail need to focus on delivering a successful Christmas blah blah blah.
Then the new year the real fun and games begin. I hope Terry has enjoyed his custard creams in the meetings this week as I’ve got a feeling it might be his last.

Any deal before Xmas has clearly run out of time if it is to be put to the vote. Perhaps a "token" gesture then a deal in January?
