blue shirts
Over the years I have started at 3.30- 4.30-5.00-5.52-and now 5.55 for me personally the 5.a.m was the best time to start the early finish was great for playing golf during the week and for footie on sat perfect.
The problem with later starts from a delivery point of view is that when i go to most of the firms on my delivery all our competitors have been
there before me, quality of sevice crap, quality of job crap, quality of management crap, quality of union even crapper(good grammer)
As for the sequencing machine working properly I will believe it when I
see it I cant get a code sorted bundle without missorts

I prefer it because I have aged parents and me and my family take turns in looking after them. I do the afternoons/evenings so less of the Neanderthal comments please. My social life is pretty good as in all things you do the best with the cards you are dealt.ballee wrote:i cannot understand some of the neanderthal comments I am reading, who wants to start work in the middle of the night. Get real we need to have a normal life where we can have a lie in until at least 07.00. Have you people no social life do you ever have a night out. I would move to 09.00 to 17.0 tomorrow.![]()

It doesn't really matter what times people would prefer to work (personally I would prefer to work very early mornings, but I have to settle for what's available). RM should be providing a decent mail service, and if it finds it can do that better with later starts, fair enough
Though if I had my own mail company, it would aim to have most of the work done before the streets got busy. It would be efficient.
I met someone last week who was angry that his business was being asked to pay nearly £3000 per year if he wanted a delivery before 10 am, when previously his secretary could always put the letters on his desk before he arrived in the mornings at 9 am and it hadn't cost anything. He said it was RM trying to extort money from smaller businesses to cover their own delivery inefficiencies. He isn't going to pay it. When he'd finished telling me what he thought of RM, he said that he had thought things through, and he might simply work 10.30 - 6.30 instead of 9 - 5 in future.... He could pay his office cleaning staff less if they didn't have to come in until 9 am..... He'd normally have replies written to his letters by 5.30 pm to catch that day's post, but if he didn't have any lunch and left his emails until after 5.30 he could probably catch up with the post.... His children could stay up later so he'd see them when he got home, and it wouldn't matter if they slept late, because he could take them to school in the mornings and explain why they were late.... He almost had me believing him....

I prefer earlier starts, i'm a morning person and that is one of the reasons I got a job with RM. Do you reckon the BBC changed the lunchtime Neighbours time so we don't miss it with our later finishes
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum
