Nothing annoys me, customers are great, all the dogs just roll over, manager is so helpful, everybody helps each other in the office,i finish early every day, it never rains or gets cold oh s**t i just woke up must have been dreaming

People who come to door with a phone stuck to side of their head and they carry on their conversation like you,r not there and they don,t even say thanks.

My pet hate is customers looking at you blankly when you deliver their parcel . Not a thank you or good morning to be heard . I sometimes find myself saying thank you , no problem sarcastically as I’m walking away .

Policies and procedures put in place and not adhered to as then it takes too long to deliver the mail.safely and securely and an archaic cut off system if you can’t complete,and rounds not being tested by management to give them a true picture of just how long it will take doing everything properly!

Note on door to leave with neighbour at x then the neighbours not in Flats with no access and no doorbell = no parcel redelivery and not in people who can't get their ass out of bed

When everyone has these massive xmas ribbons tied around the door and you have to try and pull the ribbon out of the way of the letterbox whilst holding a bundle only to find the letters won’t go through because the ribbon is wrapped around the door so tightly it stops anything being pushed through.

Indoors, colleagues who suck up to the Manager, never away from his office offering suggestions and solutions. Manager who rewards these odious sycophants with reciprocal favours ie cushy driving overtime, locking up the office when we close late, no questions asked when they can't complete a round on time and claim pressure o/t. etc etc etc. Outdoors, not too much really. Got a duty that I really enjoy, Scottish weather can be brutal at times but got a good mix of walking and driving so count myself pretty lucky to actually enjoy doing my job. Most of the other gripes I have read have happened to me at some point and they are pretty annoying. Been late every day last week because of packets boom and got to a cottage at half 2 yesterday when I'm usually there in the morning. The owner says to me "What time do you call this then ?" " Half past 2 Willie " I replied "What time do you call it?" Walked away before he had time to answer. Mildly irritating but no big deal.

Agree if the bins are blocking your way but sometimes they're a convenient spot to put parcels/bundles when
you're waiting for an answer or writing a 739 - just don't leave the bundle or your PDA on them when you leave!
