That issue is clouded for RM by the fact that most offices will have a number of routes that can be done on foot with van support, or can only sensibly be done on foot with van support (no point in having four or five vans drive round a market town centre's one way system where there's limited parking anyway) - so it'd be a bit harder for them to argue there was no place for non-drivers.
But in RM's ideal world there would be no duty holders (probably no fixed duties, in fact) and no non-drivers, let's not kid ourselves on that score.

That's going to depend long term on whatever RM's strategy is for where DOs are located. My gut feeling is that long term we'll see a lot more DO mergers and they'll be nowhere near the area they actually cover
I'd love to reduce my hours and just work sat & sun delivering only packets.
And I really don't think anyone has to worry about losing their job, as others have said with natural wastage and perhaps (if we're lucky) a few VR's I think there'll be no compulsory redundancies at all.
What about non drivers????
Monday to Friday shifts hopefully
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
I take back the bit about the bullshit bit I personally think if the management does pursue this as I think they will it will be wrong for the business as a whole the future is 7day delivery service

100% agree
