Think back to when we had the 'trial' of packet only Saturdays.
6 weeks of some getting every Saturday off, and the rest were lucky to get 1 off in that time.
Going forward, it's pretty obvious who will be working Mon-Fri and who will be landed with the Saturday/Sunday shifts with a Tuesday off, so I'd hope the union have pushed for a weekend supplement.
For DOs maybe most doing Mon-Fri with their current hours split over 5 days instead of 6, so possibly longer outdoors. A few LAT duties for each office (LAT will eventually reach a point where most DOs will need a couple of LAT duties) and some doing parcels, Tracked and SDs Saturday and maybe Tracked only on Sunday
The hours are split over 5 days now
I don't think they're split over 5 days everywhere, what about where DOs have wally weeks?

And who covers annual leave? So postman Joe Bloggs has 2 weeks off on annual leave, you can’t lapse a round for 2 weeks solid.

There will always be a place for reserves. I get the feeling RM would like everyone to be able to cover every job. 100% flexibility.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

You won't lose your job , I believe 9000 people left Royal Mail last year alone , the business has a high turnover of staff

Stay calm mate, turn over is huge and it will take a while to implement all these changes. Worry about such things when there is actual information to go on.
