The only way that RMC will be allowed to fail, is if we all give in to the Neanderthals.

As NT, PJ, and Belial have already said several times, it is a small minority who rely on insults to get their point across. There are still a lot more of us who want an open, frank and passionate debate. Although the main Ballot is complete, there are still outstanding issues, and these need to be discussed.

That can't happen, if every time someone Posts an unpopular (in RMC) view, they are hit with a barage of insults. If we disagree with thier views, then we should explain why. That is the only way in which these issues can be resolved properly.

If you look back on my previous posts, you will find that there have been a few occasions, when I have changed my mind due to a reasoned debate. That's the important point here. We ALL have to be open to each other's opinions.

I remain convinced that I made the right decision in voting no. But that was because no-one was able to convince me that I was wrong, dispite me discussing it with those that wanted to vote yes. Simply insulting people who disagree, will convince no-one that you are right, and could potentially push some people the wrong way.

Please don't misunderstand me. I'm not trying to have a go at the people who do rely on insults. I'm simply trying to convince them that it's the wrong way to go about a debate. So hopefully, they will start to put reasoned arguments forward instead.

I'll back anyone who isn't given the opportunity to speak or else is subject to personal abuse without good grounds. I'm proud to be a postie and don't have too many years left before I retire. Its one thing claiming that a forum invites all postal workers, managers and customers but it might be wise to add: 'providing we can swear at you and make unfounded accusations' - because thats what happens in practice. A forum that doesn't keep control has no credibility at all. None.

The problem with certain posters on here is if someone does come on with a different point of view they are immediately labeled a scab or a manager.
Or the other way labled nutters ect and the like.
And i know there may be the odd management posing as posties on here and when i get the proof they are off.

But for the general way things go there's a lot of needless s**t going on and various posters hijacking threads because of it.
Also a lot of you seem to be ignoring teebs and johnnypick when they tell you lot to leave it,move on or just calm down.
And that aint on.

Read the rules again and any announcements.
Also there are certain posters on both sides who seem to chase others and try to inflame things.

I'm going to start to PM the offenders on both sides,if things don't calm down then there will be temp bans handed out.
For the sake of THE SITE i may upset some of you,i dont want to do it but the way things are going it can't be helped.

You senior members on the site and you know who you are should know better,its been pointed out enough times over the last few months.

TBTS... I come on here as a Postie.. Union member and mostly as Just myself... I dont need anyone to scratch my back or agree to anything i say... I dont care if anyone does or does not agree.... So the point of the Union backing all of us on here holds no relivence as i see it... Its just The two mentioned make points and slag regular posters on here But dont name names... I've been a trade unionist since I joined RM and before that I was in the services. I've learnt to listen to those around me even if their views differ from mine and over the years I've stood by people who I felt were victimised, not just in work but out of work too. There does seem to be a few on here that use the forum as a kind of witch hunt - if you don't say this right or that right you're suddenly pro-RM or a scab or something else. I don't see RMC as anti-RM but I do see it as a place where postal workers who are fed up with the way things are going being able to talk about it and hopefully change things. If it was wholly anti-RM then no matter what changes were made, no one would ever see any light anywhere and on that basis we'd never move forward. If I really hated RM THAT much I certainly wouldn't stay in the job but that doesn't mean I'm a DOM's lackey - theres a big difference.

I talk to people at work and a few have said that RMC suffers from this witch hunt culture which is why a lot of them won't post. We'll never progress if we remain anal about who is posting or completely paranoid. It drags the site down and makes US look bad - never mind RM. You mention PMC and Hellmail. Well I do read Hellmail as well as Postcomm, the Postwatch blog and the EU pariliament site. If I'm not reading whats going on, then I'll only hear one thing and miss out on important stuff that may affect me and the men and women I work with. Its not ALL unions versus RM - theres far more going on than that and ALL of it affects our jobs and our futures.

What cuts no ice is labelling people. I can only leave it to the mods and Postman to sort out the 'plants' - thats their job. My job is trying to keep my customers happy the best I can and making sure THEY know whats going on. Whether I agree with PJ is neither here nor there but I want to hear what he has to say without all this name calling and chopping up threads - JUST as much as I want to hear what IWW, Belial, L Tommo, TrueBlue have to say. I'm not sure I can put it any better than that.

That sounds like the sort of reasoning bullies would use; "stay out of my way and I won't feel the need to do you some damage".
In other words, it's always the "other person's" fault.
You must give non-RM site visitors such a great impression of RM workers, but in fairness I suppose every office has at least one overbearing loudmouth.....

Oh dear i am pretty good good at spotting prose and text from individual posters and there is no doubt the paid up propaganda merchants have arrived on this site. Hellmail and PMC were both used as vehicles to influence us to jump onto the elevator to hell, i just hope this site remains wholly for posters who come on here in there own time and need a break from the courier/propaganda barrage.
