You don't own the thread or forum BELIAL, and I can comment if I like. It's not a barb it's a fact. All that you're doing is stretching this thread way off topic and making Postal Workers look like a bunch of children, who do nothing but call each other names.

Look I am not from Postman chat, I've never even been on it. It's always the same, posters don't like what they hear so they shoot the poster. I would say that, yes the Postal Workers on this site are fed up. I would also say that we don't hear from the ones who aren't because as soon as they post they are bullied off the forum. I'm all for debate and opinions, I love them and I don't think anyone should be banned from a site. As long as they aren't offensive, racist or sexist. All I am pointing out is that a handfull of posters dominate this site. As I said, I'm not pro RM or RM management, I just like to hear what other people have to say too. If only to strengthen the arguement against them. I understand some staff like to come on here to rant or let off steam. I would say rant and let off steam at work, where it is productive. Doing it on a forum will gain nothing. The other point I would make is that, yes, I would say a lot of posters are unhappy, but the majority of union members accepted this pay deal. This was something I really, and honestly, didn't expect to happen from reading the posts on this site. Could it be we are becoming out of touch? I really hope not.

That has not been my experience nor is it my opinion, Can you expand on what you mean productive?

Yes, there is definately the scope and oportunity to learn something new, in some cases, but that is not likely to be given the chance to happen. No, and PJ is right. Far too much hot air from select individuals who don't let anyone post and resort to name calling. It isn't clever, its certainly NOT impressive and just makes posties look like a bunch of carrot crunching morons. I'm only glad I haven't got customers on my walk with such small and paranoid minds. Its one thing being worried about wandering managers on here (that I can understand) but jeesh I've been in this job MANY MANY years and I'm not a scab, manager, brown-noser or otherwise. If anything, it just backs up what that article says!!!

I don't mind people disagreeing with me, not one bit. What I find ridiculous is people who disagree with you and the only reason they can give you for it is, they think you're a manager, scab or jobsworth. Which is all I have got in my five weeks. On that basis the thrust of this topic is clearly right, postal forums don't have a future. I'm not entirely convinced they even had a start. I can see why other forums closed if this is as good as it gets. And you hope to implement change from within? Pah! Too many assumptions, too much waffle and no substance. Same old same old.
