Visited NDC yesterday, seems to be operating the “rule of thirds” re. mask wearing.
1/3 wearing them
1/3 not wearing them
1/3 wearing them incorrectly, usually just covering mouth.

Very few in mc im in are wearing masks or visor.

I asked someone this morning why they weren't wearing a mask. Their reply "I don't want to" another said "if everyone else does, I will' Absolutely unbelievable.

Might as well not bother wearing them. I liken it to those who plug their seatbelt in then sit on top of it to stop the alarm going off.

I should add, those in my place not wearing their masks at all time/properly are EXACTLY the same people that forego every single rule already in place. What's the chances of that.

Most dumped the mask while stood @ the frame today, manager said it was okay, just put it on if you move around.

One of my colleagues was called into the Managers office today as a complaint had been made ( we don’t know who by ) that he was wearing a Visor with no mask and as there was no mention on Monday of a medical condition he must comply

As mentioned on other posts a rough count today :

30% not wearing a mask due to medical condition that was either disclosed before or on Monday, 30% fully complying and rest wearing a mask but not correctly or taken off once boss isnt about. I did feel brave and asked 3 staff why no mask, 1 replied it’s all a hoax, 1 said it’s an invasion of my human rights

and 1 said as my Boss told me to wear it I decided hell no but told boss “ I feel faint when I tried out mask on Monday

What is it with covid compliance within Royal Mail that you just don't seem to get in other mass employing workplaces?

Factories - no mask = sent home, no pay.
Supermarkets - no mask, sent home.
Bars/restaurants - no mask, shut down.

Is there something built in to the psyche of people within this organisation?

It's time this was called out.
Almost 1/3 of an office unable to wear a mask for medical reasons just doesn't tally up with society in general. It's pathetic, and it undermines genuine RARE instances of people not being able to wear them.

Yes...... they’re dickheads!!!

Seriously though you’ve only got to look at how many of them behave week in week out, year in year out over trivial matters to know that this would be a problem. It’s like a baby’s playground most of the time. I can only assume the majority of postmen were either mummy’s boys or an only child.
