If I said that I have a disability and required my manager to make reasonable adjustments in the workplace do you really think that my manager shouldn't enquire exactly what my disability is and then consult OH about it before agreeing that the adjustments that I want are, in fact reasonable given my condition?
You are claiming to have a disability that means you are unable to wear mandatory PPE at work. Of course your manager has a right to question you about exactly what that disability is and then seek advice from OH about what would constitute a reasonable adjustment.. Without a mask you are a danger to your colleagues. They may decide that a reasonable adjustment is to prevent you from working indoors and instead doing all of your hours outdoors. You can't dictate exactly what a reasonable adjustment should be.
So many threads so many this and thats, see this thread here regarding showing evidence, it does make sense, and remember if not challenged then any Tom Dick or Harriet could say they are exempt willy nilly...

Anyway anyone can run off here to spout their nonsense the fact's remain People with a medical exemption can have one with a valid reason ie medication and a piece of paper what would you rather us all have a tattoo or a yellow star it's your choice for that is what you are saying are you not!
Basically simple answer is wear a mask if you can. Don't if you have a reason not to. Seems fair a manager should at least know why not because at the end of the day it means they are authorising that person to effectively walk round putting others at risk. At least if a manager knows why, they can make arrangements for safe working for everyone. We all know what its like working in an office right now but it doesn't mean we should just say forget following measures to protect us and blame it all on the people who get paid more.

Visors and masks don't work in the rain if your in and out of shops

I have an answer, I cannot wear a face covering and am not going to divulge why on a public forum however, I will be wearing a visor as although unable to wear a cloth covering, a visor is easier for me to comprehend, my manager is aware of my situation and has been outstanding with there rapport towards my circumstances, I would suggest anyone who may be exempt for whatever reason and has their concerns to consider such an option if available to them? I have had to purchace my own although as we have none available at our unit
