Anyone managed to get a flu jab yet ? Lol. If you work for Amazon youlle be fine , they get theres done in the workplace . As well as a fornightly Covid test . Royal mail have been very poor through all this .

Absolutely appalling the way Royal Mail have managed or not managed the working environment and practice.
No staggered start times, no social distancing(two to a frame tying up mail) all they have done at my office place is provide PPE.

They’ve got away with it during the the summer with just one or two isolated COVID cases but now it’s seems to be sweeping through the office massively ,It was on the cards just waiting to happen!


I opted to start later during avoid the morning carnage and now I’ve started to wear a mask indoors.

All I can say is you’ve gotta look out for yourself because this company does not give a s**t about you.

Since the mask protects others would I be able to walk out if someone wasn't wearing a mask citing Section 44 Employment Rights Act 1996?

There you go same as the law, if you have a medical exemption you dont have to wear one.

For obvious reasons you will need to show evidence of that exemption otherwise the entire office could claim to have an exemption.

got no prob wearing mask, I wear one on route and when go into shops. Don't wear one in work but yes I agree we should. Our unit socail distance is crap. Signing in station managers always round it chatting. Floor and area not really set up for covid. One small sign at bottom of main entrance door saying wash hands, but no cleaning station till u get inside by signing on desk. H&s a joke there, all the reps seems concerned about us OT. If we were a shop we would b shut down.

Strange i work in a small office and in the village i work in ive seen 3 customers with it, one lady in her 50s who was an office manager and now looks about 90 with grey skin, and one colleague in a former Royal office who was off for 2 mths.

Masks seem to be lowering the cases right down so must be working well

Government website states one of the mask exemption reasons is

"causing extreme stress or discomfort"

and states you are not allowed to be asked to prove your exemption.
