Well, it goes without saying that the next 2 months are going to go parcel crazy.

All I can say is I hope the Xmas bonus this year is more generous after we have all worked our nuts off this year. The £200 we normally get is laughable especially when in December we cannot have time off and a lot of us go above and beyond to clear our rounds. Getting an extra £200 even just as a thank you for the December madness is ridiculous. We probably get better total tips from our customers than we do from RM in xmas bonus.

RM going to reap the rewards of this new lockdown as online shopping goes mental, destroys the high street and online shopping becomes much much bigger.

Well they did but it would not of made any difference apparently and I could agree with that looking at the whole world as every nation in the world has this virus. As for not following the rules guidelines it is a pretty flimsy argument given that the rest of the world is suffering just the same and if it did not work the first time why would it work now?

It states that as of Oct 4, 2020, China had confirmed 90 604 cases of COVID-19 and 4739 deaths, while the USA had registered 7 382 194 cases and 209 382 deaths. The UK has a population 20 times smaller than China, yet it has seen five times as many cases of COVID-19 and almost ten times as many deaths.

It mentions that China was well placed to deal with the epidemic but that they moved quickly to stop transmission whilst other countries dithered even though they had longer to prepare for it.

China introduced a proper lockdown with measures like -

1. Suspending public transport
2. Delayed schools re-opening
3. Ramped up testing, 9 million tested within weeks in the Wuhan district
4. And as a big supplier of PPE they Readily adopted mask wearing

Compliance was very high “Compare that with the USA, where even in June and July, when the virus was surging, people were still refusing to wear masks. Even in late September, President Trump still treated Joe Biden's mask-wearing as a weakness to be ridiculed”.

One of the biggest problems was that the UK didn't have the necessary PPE ready. People were walking round during lockdown without facemasks and as a result, the infection spread. Do we blame the government? Do we blame the scientists? Or do we blame ourselves? I would say that its a bit of everything.

You get paid for going 'above and beyond'. It's called overtime.
