Couple of questions:
What's standard 100BSi?
It got discussed a lot back when P&L was being introduced. Roughly, it's a measurement of how busy an employee is. The levels RM consistently propose will ensure you never experience a second when you aren't being run into the ground. Compare to working in a shop when you might just be waiting for the next customer to come in.
The machine stops.

If all rounds are going to be 5 hrs delivery from 'first to last letter' ie 6 hour minimum attendance, what happens to all the P/T staff? Are we all getting made redundant? Or going to 3 or 4 day weeks??
I do wonder if management are looking (again) at ‘waysiding’ whereby a PTer on a 5 hour day will simply meet the driver out there on the round, given bags/PDA, constantly fed bags then hands everything back to the driver at the end of the 5 hours.
That sounds utterly miserable. Imaging doing that as a career, honestly. Its bad enough being a reserve/floater, never mind being a part timer who is expected to take mail off posties and deliver it blind!

and then fixed term part-time contracts are made permanent.
My gut feeling is that in DOs anyone who can't drive will get axed first. I reckon at some point in the future RM will go over to owner-drivers like PF (at anyone at PF - are all delivery staff at PF owner-drivers???)

No the majority are still employed by parcel force although it's creeping in more and more.

The waysiding thing was just my (conspiracy) theory, probably won’t happen.

The only other way of getting round the 5 hours a day issue is to have PTers work their 25 hours over 4 days instead of 5.

We will see what happens in 8 months time anyway.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Buses were popular during the 1990's and taxi's for spares 10 to 15 miles away were not uncommon.
I have been on five duties in one hour once not good for you.
