parcel collection from customer's

No, the CC training tells you if it doesn’t match the PDA then DO NOT COLLECT THE ITEM

I had 2 collections today 1st one on answer, 2nd one was far to big had to nip back with the van, had to band it up with elastic back back at the office it was falling to bits

Permitted letters and parcels can weigh as much as 20kg and be up to 46x46x61cm in dimension. Payment must be made at the time of booking via a credit card or the online payment system PayPal

Was it bigger than the quoted size?
Hadnt the customer bothered to wrap it properly?
Is this size limit mentioned anywhere except in the press?

Do we need to carry a tape measure? & yes it was quite badly wrapped almost falling apart by the time I got it back to the office.

Having worked in retail, the first thing that popped into my mind was " Customers returning goods to companies don't bother their arses to wrap the goods appropriately"

Surely we should be able to refuse to accept parcels if they arent wrapped to a decent standard?

You can refuse to collect it and document the reason why.

You can refuse to accept a badly wrap parcel . There's an option for it on your pda

You’re not being asked to split the atom. It’s collecting a parcel instead of delivering it. Scan it like you would if your were delivering but instead of handing it to the customer you take it off the customer.
