Game over !
After being with Angard for 6 years I have today resigned. I would rather be on the dole than work for these shysters again.

I don't blame you.
Wankgard treat workers with utter contempt.
I am close to throwing the towel in to go on benefits.

I left a couple of years back but visit this forum from time to time. From what I have read little has changed and they continue to ignore AWR rules even at a basic level have read a bout the joined up side of things doesn’t seem to work then again ringing back hundreds of times to get booked on a shift didn’t work either I don’t miss them days. I lasted 3 years to do 6 you deserve a line of medals . I did similar to you and in the end just gave up it just isn’t worth it ok if you get reg shifts and are on top rate it’s fine. but all the things that go on to many to mention you will know what they are being there for that time it’s just not worth the hassle onwards and upwards hopefully it will be the right decision.. it was for me .

I resigned yesterday having found something else I can rely on.dancingqueen wrote:After being with Angard for 6 years I have today resigned. I would rather be on the dole than work for these shysters again.
Never come across such a bunch of incompetants than at Angard and RM in my life and hopefully never again!
Just need them to respond to my resignation email now - of course I'll need to chase that up too.

Ask for your P45 via the website, you know what they are like when it comes to responding to emails.007apb wrote:I resigned yesterday having found something else I can rely on.dancingqueen wrote:After being with Angard for 6 years I have today resigned. Having only worked for them for a week I can echo a similar experience as mentioned above.
My induction was quite awful and I was literally just thrown hundreds of pieces of information on various jobs all compressed into two hours.
The other inductees were just as clueless as me and would end up doing stuff incorrectly because of the garbage training as a result most of them have already left.
I can fully understand why people have left as they don't want to give a bad impression but when the training is so awful it's understandable.
Shouting the training at a group of 10 people over noisy machines on how this goes here and that goes there and there are special exceptions for this and that
and this is not quite right and that doesn't work. "This was the continued theme of the induction". Then you get set on something that wasn't explained to you and
you are trying to figure this stuff out on your own. Just a complete disaster.
Having people come in and operate like headless chickens doing the job wrong is no way to run an operation. Also don't expect to get a full time job working for the agency as those are for family members and relations.
I've spoken to two people who had just started and they were hired directly by The Royal Mail by a persons aunt and a friend (Not advertised).
Also with Angard it's true you have to keep phoning them up to keep things moving along or the hiring process just goes cold on you.
To sum it all up it ain't worth it folk, especially the whole JoinedUp website were your job life is like an eBay auction on who can bid quickest for a shift.
I feel like people have put in a massive amount of effort to get hired with Angard/Royal Mail and there is literally no reward at the end.
P.S. I did a 3 month contract at Amazon and they are just as bad if not worse in most respects a lot of folk in charge with pigeon english. They will hire you again after 3 months but you have to go through whole process again like you are brand new it's madness.
I wouldn't recommend 10 1/2 hours shifts to anyone as it's very destructive on your body, especially with the targets.
