fb1969 wrote:When the 2D barcodes started our place put up scan rates per duty as a percentage in a week. Some were hitting 99% and some were less than 10% but no one was ever called up on it. I couldn't see any point in them doing it but it must have wasted a few gallons of red ink.
Same here.

2D codes are completely pointless, no useful purpose. All they do is just give managers some more targets to push pens at, and another tool to hassle posties for no particular reason.

So, is it acceptable if no names are used? We have Trimble stuff displayed but it’s by van number not driver. We have scanning league tables displayed but it’s the walks that are listed not names of people.

It's completely unprofessional and could be construed as B&H.

Even in the event that you drive a RM van like a complete c*** and:

-Are witnessed doing so by Joe and Jane Public
-Are witnessed doing so by colleagues
-Are witnessed doing so by your Lino

Whatever damage is done to property/people both RM and public, whatever steps are taken are between you and the Lino, full stop. It doesn't matter who knows about it.

The same goes for failing tracked etc. Nobody else's problem.

Same as what I said above, cause I know who was on duty 4 last week and that Bob normally drives van 6.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
