I thought it was quite comical as it shows RM managers can't cope with the stance of the union. My DOM takes this personal for some reason. He really believes the propaganda of RM. What a complete T**T. He doesn't seem to realise he'll be on the dole and looking for another job cos leighton don't want DOM's either. He won't throw me out this week. I'll throw the IR framework in his face

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

A small bit on our office 2 guys have gone sick and the lineo was running round asking for anyone to cover it. Would not negotiate so no one covered them. He's probably still out there with a Sat Nav working out where he should be.

Well you really do miss a trick there mate, always good for a laugh, great opportunity to rip 'em to bits, as I'm prone to do :). Tomorrow is the great big propaganda session from the Two Ronnies (Leighton and Crozier) on all things RM and why we shouldn't be so naughty as to strike.

an extra hour in bed?

Long discussion on 6am starts. Office don't wanna know, rep don't wanna know but RM are pushing ahead anyway by diktat. Don't know if they're doing this to test the metal. Put in a few reasons why they should'nt move to 6am. Don't think the DOM was bothered what we said. :d'oh!

A huge chunk of our session today was a statement about the current dispute being read out, bad for business, think about the competition, don't vote for a strike etc. Hardly the point or function of wtll is it ? We may as well have had a discussion about crozier's bonus!

Last night (Monday 04/06/07) we had our WTL&L, the line manager went through the usual RM propaganda about what damage a strike will cause, how it will ruin our jobs etc etc etc. We sat looking at the ceiling or inspecting that speck on the floor when he went into a rant about how he was being stiched up by RM! He spent the next 20mins telling us how lucky we were to be going on strike! :Very Happy

Brilliant! :dance We are going to vote him in as next union rep :funneh

I am on 9-15 til 1-15 hours and I dont make it in on time for WTL ... gutted  lol
On a more serious note, i feel a bit left out. I dont get to chat to other posties as they have mostly all left by the time i get there. Ive worked for RM for nearly a year now and ive learnt more stuff just by reading posts on this site in 30 mins than i have in a year at RM
